Since ancient times, oatmeal jelly has been famous not only for its taste, but also for its healing effects on the digestive organs. It is recommended when the liver, kidneys, gallbladder, heart and blood vessels, and organs of the gastrointestinal tract begin to “fail.” Due to the content of a wide range of useful substances in the drink, such as amino acids and vitamins, oatmeal jelly is indispensable for pancreatitis.
A healthy and tasty drink for the pancreas
The basis of this medicinal drink, also called “Russian balm”, is based on a recipe from the Domostroya cookbook, as well as from monastery chronicles of the 17th century. All these recipes, based on traditional medicine, have now been harmoniously supplemented by the knowledge of modern medicine and the result is a delicious and very healthy oatmeal jelly.
Today there are 2 varieties of this medicinal drink: Izotov and Momotov jelly. Each author offers his own recipe for preparing the drink, and the cooking technology and the resulting product have significant differences. Let's talk in more detail about each drink.
Beneficial features
When prepared correctly, jelly produces a product that is not only tasty, but also valuable for the body. With regular use, you can lose excess weight - up to 7 kg. What are the main benefits of the drink:
- The starch contained in it preserves vitamins in the products from which the jelly was prepared. The body receives practically undestructed substances that benefit health.
- Suitable for patients with gastrointestinal pathologies - it gently envelops the inflamed walls of the stomach during gastroduodenitis, reduces pain during peptic ulcers. The products help people with serious gastrointestinal diseases lose weight without causing additional damage to their health.
- Cleanses - with its help, intestinal peristalsis is activated, a slight laxative effect occurs. Along with it, food debris, harmful substances and toxins are removed.
- Suppresses hunger - when drinking a drink before eating, a person losing weight is automatically protected from involuntary overeating. The number of breakdowns while following a diet decreases, and the constant desire to eat something disappears.
- Improves skin tone and hair structure - the natural ingredients contained in the composition are enriched with antioxidants. Due to the elements, the natural aging process of the skin slows down and elasticity increases.
The natural composition has a positive effect on the emotional and mental state of a person. Regular drinkers note that after a while they become more alert, their level of performance increases, and the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome disappear.
Momotov's oatmeal jelly cooking technology
Oatmeal jelly according to Molotov Momotov
’s jelly recipe is not very different from Izotov’s recipe, however, the technology for its preparation is a little simpler. Oatmeal jelly contains the following ingredients, consisting of: 300 g of small and 50 g of large oat flakes, 70 mg. kefir
For cooking, a third of 3 liters. The jars are filled with small, large oatmeal and kefir, and the rest of the space is filled with warm water (to the very edges). All ingredients are thoroughly mixed using a wooden spoon, after which the jar is sealed with a lid and put away in a warm place for 2 days.
After this time, the mixture is mixed again and poured through a sieve into jars, resulting in a liquid with a volume of 2 liters and high acidity. The flakes are washed with 2 liters of warm water, a liquid with low acidity is obtained.
Cook any of the resulting liquids over medium heat until thickened with regular stirring. Momotov's oatmeal jelly is drunk several times a day in small sips.
Main varieties of jelly
There are many recipes for making healthy drinks. The main list is represented by the following varieties:
Gerkulesov
It is prepared on the basis of rolled oatmeal and has become widespread due to its ease of creation. The rolled oats included in the composition normalize the metabolic rate, quickly relieve hunger and are absorbed for a long time, which allows you to get distracted while following a diet.
Due to the main component composition, muscle tissue is quickly built up and accumulated fat reserves are burned. To prepare oatmeal jelly you will need:
- flakes – 200 g (ground or whole);

The water is brought to a boil, oatmeal is poured into it and boiled over low heat for about 40 minutes. After the rolled oats become soft, beat the mixture in a blender until smooth and cool to room temperature.
If too much liquid is lost during cooking, add it. Otherwise, the jelly will become too thick and taste unpleasant.
Kisselem Izotova

Technology for preparing oatmeal jelly Izotov
The recipe for oatmeal jelly was patented by virologist Vladimir Kirillovich Izotov in 1992. The main component of the drink is fermented oats, the fermentation technology of which was suggested by our ancestors.
Izotov only supplemented the recipe with the scientific knowledge of our time and tried the healing effect of the jelly on himself. As a result, over 8 years of constant intake of the healing drink, he was able to overcome the destructive effects of tick-borne encephalitis and become completely healthy.
Oatmeal jelly has the following cooking recipe, which includes several steps:
Recipe for making jelly according to Izotov
- Fermentation - a glass jar (5 l) is filled with 3-3.5 l. boiled water, temperature like fresh milk. Add 500 g of oatmeal and 100 ml. kefir The container is carefully sealed with a lid and carefully wrapped in woolen cloth, left for a couple of days to ferment. For a better process, it is advisable to grind 120-150 g of oatmeal in a coffee grinder and place it in the mixture. The beginning of the fermentation process is characterized by the separation of the oatmeal layer from other components of the mixture and manifestations in the form of small bubbles. To get a delicious isotov oatmeal jelly, the time for lactic acid fermentation is approximately 1-2 days.
- 1 filtration - after the fermentation process, the mixture is subjected to filtration using a settling tank and a filter. The first element is either an additional glass jar or a 5 liter enamel pan, and for the second element a colander with 2 mm holes is used. The mixture is filtered through a colander and the precipitate that falls is washed with running water.
- 2 filtration - the sediment is placed in a settling tank and water is added there, in a volume exceeding 3 times the amount of sediment. Next, it is closed with a lid and shaken thoroughly. Then the operation is repeated with a colander. The sediment can be used for confectionery purposes (as an additive to baking dough or for pancakes).
The process of making jelly - Processing of the filtrate - the resulting slurry from filtration 1 and 2 is poured into a glass jar and left for 16-18 hours, after which the mixture will separate into 2 layers: liquid (top) and in the form of a white precipitate with a loose consistency (bottom). The first is poured into another container, and the second is oat concentrate, from which not only the drink itself is prepared, but also used as a base for sourdough.
- Storing the concentrate – the resulting oat concentrate is placed in small containers and stored in the refrigerator with the lid closed for no more than 3 weeks.
- Technology for preparing oat drink - 50-100 g of concentrate is diluted in 400 ml. cold water and simmer over low heat, stirring regularly with a wooden spoon. The mixture is boiled to the desired thickness, before turning off, salt and any oil are added and cooled to a warm state.
Jelly is taken on an empty stomach with black bread. The top layer is used in the form of kvass; it can also be added to baked goods as a replacement for milk and whey.
Oatmeal jelly: Izotov’s recipe
The recipe was patented in 1992 and has since gained wide popularity among patients with pancreatitis. In addition to the fact that jelly is an excellent prevention of exacerbations of the disease, patients note increased strength, improved brain function, and decreased fatigue.
When preparing, you must strictly follow the instructions.
The process of preparing jelly consists of several stages that relate to the preparation of the concentrate, from which the jelly is subsequently prepared.
Fermentation stage. Ingredients: water (boiled) - 3-3.5 l, Hercules oatmeal - 0.5 kg, kefir - 100 ml. Preparation: cool the water to the temperature of fresh milk and pour it into a 5 liter jar. Add the rest of the ingredients there. Close the jar tightly and wrap it in a warm cloth. Now the mixture should ferment within 48 hours. To make the process more efficient, you can add 10 tbsp to the cereal. l. oatmeal, ground in a coffee grinder. An indicator that everything is going as it should are bubbles and separation of the mixture. Fermentation should not be allowed to continue for more than 48 hours.
First filtration stage. After 48 hours, you need to filter the mixture. This is done using a filter and a sump. A glass jar or enamel pan is suitable as a sump tank - the volume of the selected container must be at least 5 liters. A colander works well as a filter (the diameter of the holes should be approximately 2 mm). The mixture is passed through it into a jar or pan.
Second filtration stage. A sediment will remain in the colander, which is washed again with water. Now you need to prepare a 3-liter jar, put the sediment in it and fill it with water in the proportion of 3 parts water to 1 part mixture. Then seal the jar tightly and shake it well to mix everything. Next, repeat the first filtration step with the resulting mixture.
Filtrate processing stage. Both filtrates obtained at the second and third stages of preparing the jelly are poured into a glass jar and allowed to brew for 16-18 hours. After this time, two layers should form: liquid on top, and a white sediment with a loose consistency on the bottom. The liquid is poured into a separate container, and the sediment is the same oat concentrate that is used to prepare jelly.
A very important point concerns how to properly store the resulting concentrate. It needs to be transferred to a glass jar, sealed tightly with a lid and placed in the refrigerator. Can be stored for a maximum of 21 days.
The process of making oatmeal jelly
In order to prepare a medicinal drink, you need to take 5-10 tbsp. l. concentrate and dilute them with 2 tbsp. water (cold). Mix well and put on low heat. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil. An important nuance: you need to stir the mixture exclusively with a wooden spoon. After boiling, the jelly is boiled for 5 minutes until it thickens. Before turning off the heat, add salt and oil to taste.
Butter or vegetable oil, such as olive, sea buckthorn, and sunflower, goes very well with jelly. Mix well again and cool until the jelly becomes warm. This is an excellent breakfast for patients with pancreatitis.
